Q: What’s the cost of an Inspection Warranty?A: It depends on the plan. Click the link below. You will find information on each of three plans as well as an overview of how to register warranties depending on whether or not you are an InterNACHI Member or are insured by Elite. Q: Which program do most Inspectors utilize?A: 97% of our Inspectors utilize the Pro Program because it provides the most robust coverage and the best value.
-
Q: Can an inspector pass the costs of inspection warranties onto the consumer?A: Most Inspectors include the warranty in their standard fees after raising their fees, while others offer it as an upgraded package. However, you cannot sell the warranty directly as an ala carte option.
-
Q: How do I offer the warranty as an upgrade?A: The warranty should not be sold as an ala carte service as there are limitations around selling a warranty to the client directly. Inspectors use the warranty as part of an upgraded inspection service. For example, you can offer a “standard” inspection service (call it what you want) for one price and an upgraded inspection service, let’s call it the “inspection plus” service, which includes the Elite Inspection Warranty for another price that covers the cost of the warranty. Clients can then add a radon test, sewer scan, etc. to either inspection service. Alternatively, you could offer a Great, Better, Best option where the Great option is your standard inspection. The Better option includes the warranty and another service or two and the Best option offers everything the Better option offers plus additional services to create a Best option. Each package would be priced accordingly.
-
Q: Do you offer extended warranties?A: Yes! We’ve just launched a campaign to offer an extended warranty to our clients after the expiration of the inspection warranty.
-
Q: How does a home warranty work with your inspection warranty?A: They work well together. Unlike some programs that deny claims if you the home is covered by home warranty, we don't take any other warranty coverages into consideration. The Elite Inspection Warranty focuses on the findings of the inspection, covering aspects typically not included in standard home warranties which creates additional safeguards for the homeowner.
-
Q: Are there any age limitations on appliances covered?A: No, there are no age limitations on appliances or are on home systems (HVAC and Water Heater). However, if a system cannot be repaired and has to be replaced due to age, the maximum coverage is $500.
-
Q: What happens if the real estate deal falls through?A: There are no refunds on warranties, but if the customer uses you again for another inspection, you can request a new warranty for the new property by emailing us with the details.
-
Q: Do you cover new construction?A: No, the plans do not cover new construction.
-
Q: Are you integrated with ISN?A: No, we are not currently integrated with ISN and are exploring other systems to streamline the process. However, the current registration process is straightforward. If you encounter issues, you can reach out to us for assistance. Q: What plans are available on the Inspection Warranty?
-
Q: What is the repair reimbursement program?A: The repair reimbursement program allows customers to choose their own contractor for repairs without waiting for our approval. They can get the repairs done and then send us the details along with their inspection report for reimbursement and if they are covered we reimburse them up to the coverage limits.
-
Q: What information is needed to register a property?A: To register a property, we need the client's name, the date of the inspection, the property address, the customer's phone number, and the customer's email address.
-
Q: What happens after registration?A: After registration, we send a communication to the customer informing them that their inspector has provided coverage and include a copy of the terms and conditions along with a link to file a claim.
-
Q: What are the key features of the Pro Plan?A: The Pro Plan has no age limitations on appliances or systems, no deductibles, and offers coverage for 90 days from closing or 120 days from the date of inspection.
-
Q: What marketing materials are available for inspectors?A: We provide a variety of marketing materials, including a "What’s Covered" flyer, landing pages for each plan (links below), logos for websites, promotional flyers for consumers or agents, a PowerPoint presentation with a script for agent meetings, and sample email announcements and social media posts.
-
Q: How can I request additional materials or resources?A: If there's something you need that is not provided, you can send a request to kkuhn@elitemga.com.
-
Q: Is there a benefit to being insured by Elite in offering the warranties?A: Yes. Elite’s rates are very competitive. In addition you get an additional per warranty discount if you are insured by Elite.
